Bought a Joola Inside 18 table. Assembly is straightforward, but would say it's a 20-30 min exercise to unbox and assemble, and is best done with a partner. You're only adding the "T" part with wheels (x4)--two brackets on each leg, two bolts/nuts to secure the brackets. The package is heavy (231lbs) and requires at least two people to lift. Once assembled, be sure to have two people lift and flip the table, and set it down like a moon landing. I've seen the reviews where people try to roll the table on its legs to stand it up and the legs break away from the board. I can see how this would happen as the table is heavy, and the legs are just screwed into the MDF. The packaging was effective--rubber corner protectors on al corners, 0.25 inch particle board wrapped in cardboard lined all four sides of the carton and the top/bottom is lined with a thin (like 1-2mm) sheet of pressed board to protect against punctures in the carton.The table had no visible defects and in seems to have an even bounce on both halves. It seems sturdy and should do just fine for recreational play. I originally had the Inside 25 selected for the 1 inch-thick top, but opted for the Inside 18 to reduce the weight (-30lbs) and to be more "practical" for our needs. I don't think one needs the 1" unless you're planning to reach a competitive level. Quite happy with it so far. Be sure to plan at least 3 feet on each side and at least 4ft on either end, especially if you're playing at beyond novice level.Folding the table was easy. However, you can see from my photo of the latch mechanism, there's a little stub of metal that holds this in place. Seems they could have made this a little. larger.This product is made in China, which is not surprising and not a big deal for the price.The only negative with this purchase was that I paid for "any room delivery" service. The description of this service is that it will be delivered to any room inside your home including up to 2 flights of stairs up or down. Well, Amazon sent a single driver with a two-wheel hand truck to perform this task. It is not only unreasonable to expect the driver to do this, but it is also unsafe. The size of the package makes it at least a two person job and the carton even says "mechanical lift required" (see photo). Thankfully the driver was built like a tank and he pushed while I lifted the other end up the stairs--18 steps, two at a time. There was no way he could have done this by himself. And, it's unacceptable that I had to help get it upstairs when I paid for the service. Had it been my wife receiving this delivery, it would have remained in our entry way and unboxed there. To be clear, the driver was professional and courteous. I felt bad for him as most of the packages he had in the truck were two-person lifts (e.g. 70 and 85" television sets).We love this table! I was heasitant to get a ping pong table. My husband and son talked me into it. I was afraid it would be too big and bulky. This one is so easy to fold up and down. We have it set up in our garage. We pull the cars out whenever we want to use it and are set up less than a minute!It took my son and I half an hour to complete the everything. There is a stain bigger than 1 inch on the table surface which can't be cleaned up. And it smells a little bit since we put it inside the garage. I hope the smell will spread away when the garage door opened.It was stalled absolutely, since the surface of the table corners were worn a little bit.First delivery was by a 3rd party, box was completely smashed and you could see the broken table inside, refused delivery. Called amazon support for a refund and ordered a 2nd table, it was delivered by amazon and had zero damage.Table setup took about 15 minutes, and was much easier installing the legs with two people.Kids and I have been playing non stop and so far no issues, a very nice, solid table.I bought this to play recreationally with my roommates. It's a good, solid introductory table for starting to take the game more seriously. The bounces aren't as consistent as a 25 mm table, but at that point in time, I couldn't really notice a difference. Assembly can be done with one strong person, but I'd recommend two people to make it easier. Once it's assembled, it's easy to move around and unfold for playing.I love this ping pong table. That ball sure comes back fast.I was gasping for air!I am absolutely happy with the Joola inside 15mm board. It's the standard size needed for ping pong, basic board and as a non-pro, I don't see a need for the tables to be any thicker. Does come with net but no rackets or balls in case you were wondering.Packaging was good; it was protected by a (thin) inner board, which was good because I received the package with a superficial dent on the boxing. Was concerned but once I opened it, was all good. In case you missed it, the item is also pretty heavy and large but was easily able to drag it down a basement, despite having to round a sharp corner (required 2 persons for safety).Each board comes partially assembled, you just have to mount the wheels, which also makes it taller than packaged. This means I cannot fold my board up for single player mode without hitting my ceiling ... but that's on me and no issue with the board. Thought to mention it in case applicable to others.The boards do not connect, rather they are mounted independently and then lined up to each other. So you push it in halves if moving around. Manufacturer recommends using the net to clamp the 2 boards into alignment. Other boards usually connect so maybe this model doesn't have that for the price? No problem but that's why I took a star away for my review.Higher models also have slots for hanging rackets, storing the balls and other nice stuff if that matters.The table just arrived today, it was quit heavy, 200lbs, requires two adults to carry it into the house.One of the reasons for it being so heavy is that it is very well packaged with protection veneers, boards, corners and braces inside the cardboard box, so it arrived in perfect condition despite it being shipped across the continent.The table assembly was very simple with clear instructions, it took 20 min.This JOOLA Inside table is very solid and evenly leveled. I can see that it is very well manufactured with good quality control.The table folds up into two halves for compact and easy rolling and storage. The casters are solid with stoppers, good quality.Since this JOOLA's table is an entry level table for recreational use, we were not expecting such high quality. We are pleasantly surprised.Everyone in my family loves the table and it is in use most evenings for friendly matches!!A good way to get some exercise and a good alternative for the kids playing video games.This is an excellent table. I spent a lot of time researching prior to purchase and this one came up with the best customer reviews. I can see why. When it arrives it is astonishingly well packaged - heavy duty rubber corner protectors and a cardboard box lined with chipboard. Only downside is the 200b weight of the package, but it gets easy to manoeuvre once unpackaged. The table itself is well-constructed, all the parts feel heavy duty. The assembly takes 15-20 minutes, max. Easy to fold up with a solid catch to stop it dropping down again. The net is a really nice unit, which clips onto the table, no clamps to tighten with a risk of table damage. Net has a dinky little system to maintain tension. Highly recommend for indoor fun.UPDATE: Joola offer free balls if you buy the table. Although they acknowledge receiving your application, they never actually send you any balls and they also ignore any customer service requests you send them asking where they are. I know ping pong balls are worth very little, but it says a lot about a company that they make an offer, don't honour it, and refuse to engage with customers afterwards who have the temerity to follow-up. For this reason alone I would never buy anything else from Joola. Plenty of other comments on here making the same observation about the offer. Dishonest and disrespectful company.Pros:- Table set up was simple even if instruction booklet was light on diagrams- Price to quality ratio is great especially if you can get it on sale- Packaging is good- Heavy but light enough to move half the table at a time from garage to basement with two peopleCons:- Delivery took a week longer than the expected date provided by Amazon- Table setup was missing one washer- Metal frame shows signs of rust out of the box (see pictures)Update: There are so many reviews of this table because with it comes an offer of free ping pong balls if you submit a review. After submitting this review and informing Joola, I received a confirmation email. Four months later, no free balls. I assume this means they no longer honour this offer. My inquiry emails on this matter have gone unanswered.We shopped around a LOT for this table, and this seemed to be the best combination for us in the 'low end of the high end' brand names in terms of quality of manufacture, sturdiness of table, evenness of surface, good to very good reviews here on Amazon.ca and on the US Amazon site, etc. This table has several terrific features: adjustable legs (to account for variations in your floor), easy clip-on and taut net, evenly finished surface and paint, very sturdy and stable design and materials, a very small footprint when folded (the smallest of all of the tables we compared), great 1-player set up, and VERY VERY BEST OF ALL it assembles in less than 20 minutes. My sons were having a ball playing on this table in less than 1 hour of being delivered. You'll need 2 sets of strong arms to unpack and set up the table; recommend unpacking it outdoors or in your garage and moving it one half at a time to its location in your home. Most major brands are around this price point with relatively similar quality, and the easy assembly was what tipped us to this table. Works well in our basement with low suspended ceilings too. Delivery time was arranged by 'phone call from a local delivery service and they came when they said they would. Overall a great experience.
