Excellent purchase. In a perfect world a full size table would have been my 1st choice. Our basement area is not long enough for that option, so my search for a smaller size table commenced. I had narrowed it down to 3 choices, the Joola midsize, the Stiga space saver, or the Butterfly Jr. My mind was set on the Stiga but it was 100 bucks more expensive. Then I decided on the Joola, and if my 7 year old son enjoyed playing would move on to a full size outdoor table and put it in the garage. Plus it was around 100 bucks and had positive reviews. Unfortunately for Joola, when I logged into amazon to buy the price had went up considerably! So my research started all over. Joola smallest size. Stiga great quality. Butterfly Jr. most playing space and decent price. *scratches head*My son and his buddy had set up a net on the dining room table with dimensions of 3 foot by 5 1/2 foot. It was a bear for me, yet alone 7 year old to play on. So for learning, IMHO more playing surface is better. So I pulled the trigger on the Butterfly Jr. and I am so glad i did. Delivery was on time. Then the moment of truth, opening the package to see if it had handled the voyage to my doorstep. Was packaged perfectly. Had the bottom of table facing out so if was to scratch, it would not hurt the playing surface. Extra care was taken on the edges and sides, using some sort of particle board to protect them. Next I pulled one side out and pulled down the legs, then the other side, and finally attached the net. Done. Drank a beer and waited for my son to come home. Simple, solid, nice looking table that made it thru shipping. I was happy. It plays great. 4 ft by 7 ft really does give you enough space to battle without hogging up half the house. Also compared to a full size table, it plays better for the younger folks because they can reach the whole playing surface. Time will tell on the durability, but seems nice and sturdy, easy to move around, and a blast to play on. I highly recommend this table if you do not have the space for a full size or have younger kids. Its the Goldilocks of the tables, not too big but not too small. Couple improvements I would like to see.- Instead of the wheels that supposedly help you move it around- install height adjustments/levelers on the legs.- Would be nice to have some sort of latches on bottom to hold the two sides together.- Maybe add an option for some Butterfly Paddles and Balls. Do you really want your customer playing your competitions paddles and balls?- Made in USA, I try to buy as much as possible from the good ol USA. Would be nice to have this option even if it cost me 20% more.Quality table, affordable price, and perfect size for our space.
